What problems do wildlife cause?

Most of the calls we get are because homeowners hear animals scurrying around inside the attic or walls. Most of the damage inside a house or attic is unseen. Rodents like squirrels, mice, and rats often chew on electrical wires. Wildlife such as raccoons, bats, birds, opossums, and rats spread several diseases that humans can and do catch, such as Histoplasmosis, Salmonella, and more. Many critters leave droppings and urine in an attic or cause mold or odor problems. We also handle animals outside the house. It could be a critter that has dug a large hole next to your house, or a raccoon in your garbage cans, an opossum that is stealing pet food, or a skunk living under your deck, causing an odor problem. Some animals destroy your garden or landscaping. Or perhaps you are simply scared of snakes. Whatever the problem is, our wildlife experts can remove the source of the problem, and prevent it from happening again. We are not a Houston extermination company, nor pest control. How To Get Wild animals Out Of Your Yard or Lawn
Wild animals are creatures that will often turn out to be quite a problem for those who are proud of their gardens in North America, as they can often cause a lot of damage to the lawn and other plants and vegetable beds. Raccoons, opossums, squirrels and skunks are common critters that can cause problems. The armadillo is a well protected animal that is often resistant to the domestic pets such as dogs and cats that will normally scare off such pests. Many people will often see the evidence that the wildlife is in their garden before they actually see the animal itself, as they will often see a lawn or garden that has been dug up in many different places.

What To Do If You Find Wildlife In Your Lawn Or Yard
Wild animals are animals that can carry diseases, so the first step is to ensure that you wear protective clothing to protect your hands, arms and legs. These animals may not be particularly large, but their claws can deliver a nasty wound. In many cases the animal will flee by itself without having to be shepherded out of the garden or trapped, but if this is not the case then you may have to take some steps to deal with the wildlife. Many states will have regulations about the euthanasia of such animals, so it is worth checking to see what the recommended action in your state is. Most people will not want to kill the animal, but will rather be happy to get it out of the garden. If the wildlife isn't looking to escape when you approach, then it may be injured or disorientated, so it will be best to trap the animal so that it can be removed or taken to the relevant facility in your state.

Trapping The Texas Wildlife
Most people will set a simple cage trap to catch wildlife, but even an improvised trap such as a heavy bin propped up by a piece of wood that can be quickly removed will often be effective enough. If possible, a cage trap is much more effective and safe for the trapper, because it will mean that minimal contact with the wildlife itself will be required. In terms of baiting the trap, wild animals will be particularly attracted to sardines, insects and spoiled meat, but some people will also have luck with overripe fruit. If there are no local regulations about removing the wildlife, and it appears to be a healthy specimen, it is best to take the wildlife at least ten miles away before releasing it. Wild animals will usually live in a territory that is close to a woodland, so if it is possible to release the animal in such an environment then it will be a kindness to them. In our Houston raccoon removal process, we relocate the animals. For Houston rodent extermination, we do not relocate rats, as it is impractical, and relocated rodents do not survive.

Protecting Your Garden From Wild animals
For those who find that they are having repeated problems with wild animals finding their way into the garden, there will often be no choice but to take steps to keep them out. There are a number of products that are said to repel wild animals, but because they don't have any natural predators the usual repellent of predator urine is ineffective. Many people will want to put an exclusion fence around their property. This will need to be embedded into the ground by some 12 to 18 inches to prevent the wild animals such as armadillos from being able to burrow under the fence. It is also worth ensuring that there are no fruit or vegetables allowed to lie on the ground in your yard, as these will prove to be a big attraction for wild animals. For those who are still having problems with wild animals, there are many professionals who will be able to examine your yard to see how the wild animals are able to get in, and what steps should be taken. Fences are actually a good means of Houston snake control. Sealing the house is the best approach to Houston bat removal, and rodent control as well. If the animals can't get in your house, they are not a problem.

How do You Know if You Have a Wild Animal in Your Attic?

Rat poop is associated with numerous disorders that individuals can contract. Rats desert 10-30 poop pellets for every day, dependent upon the sum they eat. They do go outside, yet as they are grievously not housebroken, they moreover go potty in your space, dividers, wash room, wherever they live. Houston bats pee and poop in the places where they hang upside down. They while hanging upside down hang by wings and facilitate themselves. And flip back upside down. Another did this not long after. We never understood that bats' wings were adequately strong to pick the body weight, however obviously they are, in any occasion for a brief range.

Houston is home to many nuisance wildlife species. Inside the attics of houses, we most commonly deal with Roof Rats, raccoons, and squirrels. We also commonly handle bats in buildings.
